The Who may not make another album because they won\u2019t make any money from it.<\/p>\n

The \u2018My Generation\u2019 hitmakers \u2013 which now comprises of just Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend \u2013 are proud of how well-received 2019\u2019s \u2018Who\u2019 was but they made a loss on the record and there was tension between the two of them, so they are reluctant to do it again.<\/p>\n

Roger told Uncut magazine: \u201cWill there be another Who album? I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no record market any more. Everybody talks about streaming, but have you seen what artists get from that? It\u2019s a joke.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was great to have an album out there, something that the fans liked, and I was really proud of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut far too much money was spent making it. It went out of control completely and ended up costing me money. I can\u2019t go on doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Pete admitted the difficulties they had making \u2018Who\u2019 has put him off wanting to make another record \u201ca little bit\u201d.
He said: \u201cIt was tough. I think it was tough for Roger too. I think he and I have found a sort of common ground over it, but there is still a sense that we only just about got it done.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a certain amount of resentment on both sides. Partly on Roger\u2019s side, perhaps, resentment that we were paid a lot of money for the album and it was all spent making it.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn my side, the fact that Roger was so actively diffident at first.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow he\u2019s proud of what he did on the record and so he should be because he did such a great job.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut our process is now just me and him and we\u2019re very different \u2013 politically, socially, spiritually, different in every respect. But we happen to be in this band together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despie this, the 75-year-old guitarist admitted he\u2019d still like to make another album.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI do want to make another one and I probably will. It\u2019s been on my mind a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
