Pia Zadora is a veteran singer and actress who became famous as a performing artist beginning in the early 1980s. She had a Top 40 hit with her cover of Shirley Eliis’ “The Clapping Song” (1982) as featured in the soundtrack to the 1983 movie, “The Lonely Lady,” in which she starred in the title role. Zadora also appeared in “Hairspray” (1988), “Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult” (1994), and several other movies.
