Helmut Zacharias (January 27, 1920 – February 28, 2002) was a German-born violinist, composer, and actor who became famous during the late 1950s. He is best known for his instrumental 1956 hit rendition of the 1920s pop standard, “When The White Lilacs Bloom Again.” A prolific recording artist, he sold over 14 million records and also appeared in many film musicals.
